I booked a month. During my stay, I threw my back out & I was unable to walk without excruciating pain. As a solo traveler, I had no connections in this country & my Spanish is not advanced enough to explain a medical condition clearly. I was scared. I contacted Andres (speaks English) to explain my dilemma & asked for assistance. Andres was very sympathetic & agreed to provide help. Not only did Andres have ibuprofen brought to me that day, he also suggested & arranged for a physical therapist (PT) to help me at the apartment & reassuring me that I was safe. Bc of his quick actions, my condition improved significantly in just one visit from his PT!! PROs: cold a/c; nice staff; close to downtown, fresh market, shopping, soccer stadium; safety; strong internet connection & very affordable. CONs: neighborhood is not very clean & locals aren’t very patient w/ my bad Spanish. The service was top tier and very appreciated. Thanks again and best wishes to you and Xina!

- Not a lot of natural light. Bar on the corner uses loud music til late. - WiFi unstable: had to use cell data sev times. Had 2 or 3 power outages for some hrs. - Tap water has frequent low pressure. Water was infested in neighborhood once. 3 times had to use bottles. - Apt not soundproof. Annoying noise from owner's apt. Didn't change after informing. Heard their intimacy, screaming out loud. Even turning up the music. If you're sleeping: unbearable. It's abt common sense & respect to be careful. No one wants to know abt yr sexual life. - Frequent strong sewer smell from the sink drain. - Rats ate my bread. Saw 1 while dinning. - Asked the owner how to go to Manuel Antonio. Was told to search on the net. Never informed abt what was happening when we had issues. 5 times had no hot water bc they forgot to change the gas cylinder. Requested new light bulb: never changed. - Leaks fr the bathroom to the apt below. Came to fix it 6 times. Water was leaking on the floor tile, kept it dirty.
