What a delightful house and owner. It is very large and well appointed, perfect for larger groups. It is perfectly situated on the edge of the Loch Lomond national park area, and has its own view of Loch Gare. The weather was warm enough for us to sit outside one day and watch the boats (and submarines!). And we took day trips to various parts of the highlands. The house is very well appointed, lots of appliances, plates, cutlery, towels and linens. Lovely gas fire in the living room. And the Garden!! Wow, it is huge and immaculate, and worth a visit on its own. The town of Helensburgh is a 5-minute car ride along the water, and there are plenty of great restaurants there, highlighted in Lynn's guide to the house and the area. All in all, this was a real treat for our family (three adults and two kids) and we would not hesitate to go back when visiting the area again (we even went to a football game, as Glasgow is only 45 mins away). We had a great time at Lynn’s house! Everything was perfect for our group of 6 - spacious rooms, great communal spaces and lovely kitchen. Would definitely recommend and we might be back! Lynn was also very responsive and super helpful and friendly.

We so enjoyed our stay at Aros Rhu. The main house and coach house were even better than pictures. Comfy, well equipped, elegantly decorated - just amazing all around. Lynn, our host, was so kind and attentive! Highly recommend.
