As a child, I always loved going to “grandmas” house. Walking into Kathy’s house felt just like I had walked into grandmas house! I love older farm houses and the history behind them. The renovations to this house made it more modern while keeping the old timer charm. I’ll definitely be back!

Our short stay at Sturgeon Creek Farm was great! We needed a place to stay on the way up to family where we could take a day to work remote. Kathy was extremely accommodating for us to show up late. The internet also worked great for a remote work day. By far, the best part of the stay is meeting all of the animals on the farm. Once the dogs “know” you, they are extremely friendly. The kids had fun helping track down duck and chicken eggs, helping feed the horses once they were put away for the night, and petting the new lambs. The house is cozy and comfortable. Definitely bring food and a cooler, as restaurants and grocery stores are a drive. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has everything we needed to cook. The stay was 10/10, and we wish we had stayed longer!

Kathy is a wonderful host; she was very flexible, and provided excellent ideas/recommendations during my stay. The house is surrounded by pastureland and natural woods beyond. The sheep, horses, chickens, and turkeys on this working farm recieve the best of care and add great ambiance. Also a bonus for those looking- fresh eggs, cheese, and milk are a bonus you don't often find!

We got stuck behind a slow driver on a winding road. Dorinda got frustrated. She does most of our driving due to motion sickness. Would it have been less stressful to take 75 from Richmond to London and come that way? Otherwise, we enjoyed the farm animals and all their animal sounds. The fall scenery was gorgeous and the fog on Sunday morning was mysterious. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Kathy a été très accueillante, les enfants ont pu visiter la ferme, et même traire les chèvres, donner du grain aux poules et aux canards. Les enfants ont adoré ce week-end dans le Kentucky qui nous a fait du bien également !
