BEWARE MANDATORY ADDITIONAL CHARGES ($21) AT CHECK-OUT! They bill for coffee, wifi and parking whether you use them or not! They should have included this charge on the price quoted. I've never been billed an additional amount without permission but that's what they do at the Blue Sands Inn, which is NOT A BOUTIQUE HOTEL AS ADVERTISED. It is more like a very old Motel 6 but very close to the beach. It smells strongly of mildew in Unit 1.

We loved the location: close to the beach with absolutely stunning views and close to the downtown Santa Barbara where we had a couple of our meals. Our room was spacious, kitchen was fully equipped with all the appliances and pots, pans and silverware. Bathroom was spacious and modern with great ventilation. Beds were comfortable and there is complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby room. Also, there is a nice surprise for all the adult guests who check in to the hotel. Highly recommend this place for those who like to have an access to a full kitchen and who love taking walks on a beach. This is the best place for it!!!
