This quaint terraced cottage can be found in the small Derbyshire town of Chapel-en-le-Frith, otherwise known as ‘The Capital of the Peak’. Popular with walkers, there is an abundance of walks available straight from the door, including around Combs Reservoir, which is a mere 5 minutes from the property. Across the road is a good, traditional pub serving food, and both Chapel-en-le-Frith and nearby Whaley Bridge, 3 miles, provide ample local amenities. The Chestnut Centre Otter, Owl & Wildlife Park is just 10 minutes from the property, and the beautiful ever popular village of Castleton, home to the Blue John Cavern, is around 15 minutes. The spa town of Buxton, famous for its spring water, Pavillion Gardens and Victorian Opera House can be reached in around 20 minutes, and finally Bakewell, home to the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall, is around half an hour. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 130 yards. Free WiFi Can comfortably fit up to 3 people

Beautiful cottage in a great location. Near enough to the shops etc but also not right in the middle of town. The cottage inside was gorgeous with a really cosy feel to it. Everything we could need was provided. The fireplace was beautiful in the evenings. Lots of useful information in the pack provided, giving us ideas of where to visit. Having our own parking space was great. Overall, we absolutely fell inlove with the cottage and we will definitely be booking again!
Cosy and welcoming. The cottage was kept really warm and the kitchen was well equipped. The owner was responsive and helpful.
The cottage was small but cosy, we had a great relaxing time. We had to use the car quite a lot as we wanted to visit other towns and villages so not really sure what was directly around the cottage. The pub across the road was spot on with friendly staff and nice food. Parking at the cottage is tight but the man in the pub said we can use their car park so not really a big issue, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This is a really lovely cottage, it felt so homely! The only bad thing about this cottage was I personally found the bed really uncomfortable (mattress is firm/ hard) I just personally prefer soft, I know others had found it super comfortable! But other than that it was a perfect place to stay. Close to a supermarket (short drive) and a perfect base for travelling to picturesque walks. Cottages . Com themselves were awful at responding, took over a month after they told me I couldn’t bring my baby and it was non refundable then after a month said sorry for the miscommunication. Don’t allow phone queries either! So if you needed to ask a question I wouldn’t recommend booking through cottages . com But Anne herself was amazing! Told me recommendations, clear instructions to help find the property and she was really reachable if we needed anything during our stay! She had got a small milk so you could have some tea and cake prior to getting the food shop etc! Was a lovely touch!
Another good relaxing stay at Golf cottage, ideally situated for great walks and places to visit. Will definitely be back again for another stay.
