Sadly this was a disappointing stay. Very worn and in need of maintenance. The Hot Tub was not very clean and the lid was broken/needs replacing, as bit of this floated in the water. There was overgrown moss on the ramp up towards the front door, which resulted in me slipping over twice, resulting in a hip and knee injury. There was also a step up into 'the enclosed garden' as described on Air BNB, which was completely broken and unsafe. We therefore could not allow our dog or son to play in this 'enclosed garden area' as planned based on the Air BNB description. The overall cleaning of the lodge was below satisfactory, we found old make up in one of the bedrooms, a lamp that did not work and many pans and oven dishes in the kitchen were dirty, the kettle had to be cleaned by myself prior to use. We do not feel it was worth the £425 (for 4 nights) that we paid and it was such a shame as this tarnished the experience of the beautiful location it was situated in. We would not stay again.
Great host very welcoming, lovely lodge, very clean. Hot tub was very warm, would stay again, would recommend to anyone thinking of a quiet getaway.
Beautiful location and cosy cabin l, perfect for a weekend escape into the Welsh countryside
Really lovely lodge. Relaxing location. Great size and facilities. When the clouds are clear you can see so many stars at night. We went to Seven Stars pub on our first night and it was lovely food and good value for money. Also recommend Elan Valley and the 4 Waterfalls Walk.
Had a nice stay. We were there to fish for a few days, but not from the water at the back of the cabin. Being January I was wondering if we would be Ok in a cabin for heat. But it was excellent, lovely and warm and cosy. Hot showers and loads of hot water. Plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. Only issue was the decking, it was very slippery due to wet weather. That really needs to be sorted before someone takes a fall. Other than that, a nice place.
