Lydia and Nelson’s retreat is truly an oasis. It is a 5 minute walk to arguably one of the best beaches in Ecuador. The Airbnb is well equipped for long stays, with fast internet and AC. The hosts are very responsive and always ready to answer any questions or offer recommendations. Puerto Rico, Las Tunas and Ayampe are one of our favorite areas.

where to start! The suites are in a lovely, plant-filled space, very quiet and private feeling. Each suite has a small covered patio area that's perfect for morning coffee. The kitchens are well equipped, we've been cooking nearly all of our meals here for the past month easily. There are a few small stores in town where you can get a few essentials, and a fruit/vegetable truck vendor who comes by three times every week. For anything more, I'd recommend taking a local bus or collectivo taxi to the Tia supermarket in Puerto Rico, it's only around $1.50 per person and takes 10-15 minutes . The beach is only about a 3-4 minute easy walk, and is never crowded. If you're a surfer, there are good waves all up and down the beach. Waves can get steep when bigger swells come but even us 50+ year old people on longboards did fine! Nelson was an amazing host, and even hooked us up with a shaper in Manta to have boards made for our stay. He's a wealth of knowledge about surf in the area!
One of the best Airbnb I have been so far. Lydia and Nelson are amazing persons and will help the best they can no matter what you need. The place is really calm and quiet and close to everything. It's easy to get around town here and there are multiples options to do so. I will definitly recommend this place without a doubt!
Really nice and clean stay! It is away from the town just in a really small village with nothing more then a few small shops. We stayed for a month and loved it. You basically can hear the waves breaking! The owners are super kind and helpful with everything they can do. We stayed for a month and enjoyed every day of it. Highly recommend this stay! Thanks a lot!

Lydia, apasionada del arte y docente universitaria de profesión, anduvo siempre buscando nuevos retos y experiencias. Unieron sus vidas para vivir en familia en la costa sur ecuatoriana, donde cada día, se inspiran y disfrutan de la naturaleza que les rodea.
