Perfect for me! Well-priced, comfy bed and nice bathroom. Close to buses and Ponsonby high street, safe neighbourhood full of life and character. Penny is a lovely and respectful host. A great 4-night stay.

A thoughtfully decorated place, with a beautiful front and back garden. We’ve enjoyed so much spending the evenings on the terrace and interacting with Penny’s cat and dogs. We also appreciated Penny’s responsiveness and allowing us to checkin early (so needed after a very long flight). The shower and bathroom were great, perfect temperature and pressure.

I traveld alone and had a wonderful time at Pennys house. She gave me some very useful advice about the restaurants in the neighborhood and about the sights of the city. I would check in again, during another visit.

Penny was a wonderful host. She's a truly great person and even drove me to my next location! Her communication before my arrival was excellent, with very quick replies. I chose her place based on proximity to Western Springs Park where I was attending an event. What an exceptional decision. Her place is very close to lots of great restaurants and bus stops. It was clean and comfortable. Safe location for a solo female traveler. I just can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay. Penny and I had many wonderful conversations. She's a fascinating, well traveled woman who can provide you with a true home away from home, including 2 dogs and a cat.

Penny is a very lovely lady, who made us feel at home straight away. Her two little dogs and the cat are really cute and peaceful. The house is lovely, the room is very big with a comfortable bed - perfect to recover from weeks in a camper! Having your personal bathroom was great too. Penny even offered us breakfast and also allowed to do our laundry. Thanks!!! The bus to the city leaves 100m from the house, but it's also only a 30-40 min walk. Shops and restaurants are close by.
