Lovely stay at this AirBnB, the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and there was a warm community atmosphere in the neighboring households. The views from the house and the yard were astonishing and the house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. A perfect stay!

Beautiful home and Location! Location! Location! *This is a true hidden gem in the 1000 islands region with a private dock and we are so thankful to have found it!* Quiet area, right on the water, tucked back in away from the busy parts of town but close enough to the action for when you want to be in the middle of it! 10 minute boat drive to Alex bay, about 40 to Picton pt. Singer castle was close by, too! A quick few minutes car drive into the village and close to groceries and whatever you may need. - I’ve been visiting the islands since I was a baby and this place reminded me of the days when my family had a place in the islands. When I say this place is a hidden gem, I absolutely mean it. - I can’t express how amazing it was to have ample lawn space/frontage for us and the kids to play and run around in. It was SO nice to have a beautiful private dock for our boat. It was a HUGE perk to this place and unheard of in a lot of places! We were thrilled not having to drive to a public launch to launch it every day nor having to use a daily rental to only have to drop it off every night and pick it up the next morning. It was so nice to just go straight to the boat with no hassle. Our kids fished and paddled on the kayaks with ease. The water was calm and easy for the kids to enjoy. - not as rough as being out right on the main channel. The kayaks were very easy to launch and get in and out of. Our 8 yo daughter loved being able to launch her own kayak. We also enjoyed a few of the state parks close by. The sunsets were some of the best we had ever seen and pictures do not do them justice! We loved spotting ships from the deck that were going through the main channel and The fireplace by the water added the extra peace and calmness to our evenings. The sounds and sights of nature were a pleasure. Beautiful Swans, the songs of the crickets and peepers, and the stillness and solitude of a bright starry night was absolute perfection. Plenty of inside space for us 4 adults and a 5yo and 8yo. Very clean! Cell service and internet were perfect. Great for those who still might have to do a little remote work while away :-). No issues with the shower water for us platinum blonde people. :-) always a plus The AC was crisp, cold, fresh and clean. Definitely kept all of us cool at night. - We love good working AC. The neighbors were fantastic! They were only there for the weekend but were very welcoming, kind and helpful and encouraged us to have fun and be ourselves throughout our stay. They kept to themselves but wanted us to know they were there if we needed anything- it’s wonderful when you can rent a place with great neighbors and they are accepting/understanding of families and kids. Tara is the sweetest! Her and Chuck were amazing hosts, very kind, accommodating and they were prompt at answering any questions we had. They gave us great tips on places to go on the water and great little fishing spots just a few hundred feet away. Chuck even went out of his way to lend us life jackets which was so very kind of him. (A true life saver, really!) We recommend this place to anyone! Our family enjoyed this space and all that it has to offer and we cannot wait to come back. Thanks for being amazing hosts, Tara and Chuck!

Tara’s cottage was a great space for a family weekend getaway to Alexandria Bay. Quick drive to downtown area but secluded enough right on the beautiful water. Too early for a kayak paddle but great space to sit out by the water around a fire. Tara was super quick to respond with any questions I had and made sure that everything was going well and working in the cottage. We definitely hope to come back and stay here soon. All around great experience for first time in the Thousand Islands!
