Kalum is an awesome host and the place is beautiful and quiet. I also recommend to have dinner at the restaurant just next to the house.

I highly recommend staying at Kalum's place. The accommodation is amazing, our room was very nice, spacious and very clean. The location is awesome - it is close to the center, yet very quiet and with a wonderful view on the lake. All very friendly and responsive, Kalum provided us with local tips which was very helpful. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful place with lovely decor that looks even better than the photos. Great location and lovely walk around the lake and up Habarana rock just outside the apartment. Kalum was very responsive and helpful by message and his staff at the place were lovely and helpful. They cooked a Sri Lankan breakfast each morning with a lovely watermelon smoothie. It was so helpful to have Tharanga and his tuk tuk, who took us to Sigiriya and Dambulla as well as a lake tour around Habarana. The only critique would be that the shower has very poor pressure and there is no fridge or facilities to make tea and coffee in the room, or current access to a shared kitchen as the listing suggested. You can use the kitchen in the restaurant but have to ask the staff first. Overall, thank you for a lovely and memorable stay!

The Lake House was the first place I stayed in Sri Lanka and I would highly recommend. I was really made to feel right at home from start to finish. The accommodation was beautiful and spotless. Great shower, very comfy bed and great a/c. This room has its own access staircase so it felt very private. Kalum and Sue were flawless with their recommendations and were able to arrange transport and tours with trustworthy friendly drivers, for both the local area and the famous sites. Breakfast was fabulous, with gorgeous views overlooking the lake. The guesthouse have recently opened up a new restaurant on the lakeside, and offer very tasty food and excellent service, which I found great to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. I would definitely book here again. Thanks again for such a lovely and friendly welcome to Sri Lanka!
