Curlew Cabin is an intimate and beautiful rural hideaway with outstanding views. Situated in the Black Mountains an hour from Bristol and 50 minutes from Cardiff, Curlew Cabin is incredibly accessible for a mini-break. The nearest train station is Abergavenny which is 5 miles away. Offa's Dyke path is very close - less than a mile away. The cabin is set to one side of the garden and therefore is separate from our house. I can offer a continental or cooked breakfast in the cabin. Curlew Cabin is a light and airy space with a sitting room and bathroom downstairs (but no kitchen). Stairs lead up to a double bedroom with a pitched ceiling which creates a cosy bedroom. Outside is a lovely stone terrace where you can sit out and enjoy the view, play table tennis or sit around a fire bowl in the evenings (we provide a bag of logs for £5 or you're welcome to bring your own).

We had the most wonderful two night stay in Curlew Cabin and cannot recommend it highly enough. The cabin is gorgeously furnished, the bed super-comfortable and the location and views are spectacular. Rorie and her family made us feel so welcome and Rorie's cooking was fantastic. All in all a very special place.
Rorie’s cabin is set in an idyllic part of Wales and we loved our stay. Rory gave us a lovely warm welcome and made us two wonderful breakfasts! The views were also stunning. Would highly recommend!
Beautiful location and wonderful host - nothing too much trouble and met on arrival. We were given really helpful directions and reccommendations of places to eat nearby. Served a beautiful breakfast outside with the black mountains for a view - would 100% reccommend. Thank you for a lovely stay Rorie!
The cabin is charming, like a little house. Self-contained, clean and comfortable in an idyllic setting. Rorie made us very welcome and we'd be happy to return.

Parking is next to our house and not on the tarmac at the bottom of the drive which belongs to our neighbours in the white farmhouse. You are welcome to walk around our garden and orchard.
We can offer lots of good advice about local walks and places to visit. The nearest train station is Abergavenny which is 5 miles away.
