It was an exotic experience, like Charlene described, with the wolves howling with the emergency vehicles that dot the night in every city. It was very pleasant with the gentle breeze and the tent curtains that allow for privacy at night but allow light to come through in the day. I got a nice sleep with the most comfortable soft warm bed that I have ever slept in.

When we got there, the yard was full of dog poop and smelled like urine. I have a dog so I don’t really mind it much but if you have people planning to come, you figured they would clean the area. In the pictures they place it as you’ll have this big area but in person it’s the small little closed off area. There was rat poop in the bed in the sheets in the comforters. The people were very polite. But if you own three Airbnb’s, you should have politer dogs. They were out with headlights and flashlights at three or four in the morning walking around. The wolves were not an issue because I knew what I was paying for I did not mind the wolves at all but a lot of all the other stuff were a major issue.

Staying at Charlene's is like stepping into another world. She has two wolves (don't worry, they're very nice and you're totally safe) and a bunch of other animals to hang out with. The sleeping area was just what I needed and it was nice to wake up everyday feeling like I was already outside. If you don't have a car, I took the #7 bus into downtown Austin everyday (a 2-minute walk from her house) and it never took more than 45 mins. Lyft's weren't so bad either (but the bus is only $1.25!). All this to say that Charlene's neighborhood is nice and peaceful, but you can get into the city easily from where she is. Hope I'm able to come back soon and hang with the wolves!

Charlene and Jim are great hosts! Very accommodating to our needs and provided everything you need for a great comfortable night's rest. They were very open and clear about how things work around the house and they have so many amazing pets! If you need a great place to relax and get some rest in Austin, this is the spot.
