In today's fast paced world, it's rare to find souls as warm and caring as uncle Charles and aunty Sandy...that's what staying here felt like...as if I were visiting at a family home for the holidays. I had the deepest sleeps on the freshest linen. Please do yourself a favor, you won't find food as good as that prepared by the hosts...if you love fish, ask Charles to whip you up some fish in crazy water 🫠😋😋😋. Sandy's poached eggs on avo, and ostrich steaks with that delicious sauce...my goodness. All the dishes were mouth watering...soul food. If I'm ever on the Garden Route again, this will be the place to rest my head, and fill my stomach...and my soul. Wonderful stay.

Sandy and Charles’ Ocean Oasis will always have a special place in my heart. I consider it a hidden gem. Peaceful location, fantastic hosts and such a wonderful warm home that quite literally feels like a home away from home. “Arrive as guests, leave as family” is so apt. Thank you to the Poole family for making my stay so so wonderful. I will DEFINITELY be back!! P.S - don’t waste money looking for food elsewhere, the food Sandy and Charles provides is divine and reasonably priced!

Wir wurden von bereits bei der Ankunft von beiden mit offenen Armen empfangen! Charles kommunizierte vorher mit uns und alles lief reibungslos. Gleich nach Ankunft bereitete Charles für uns, das vorher angesprochene, Austern-MCC-Pairing vor und wir genossen einen unglaublichen Sonnenuntergang vom Picknick-Platz über den Dünen, 10 Meter vom Haus entfernt. Abends saßen wir gern entspannt auf unserer kleinen Terrasse. Tagsüber gingen wir am Strand spazieren. Die kleine Sackgassen-Straße zwischen dem Haus und den Dünen stört überhaupt nicht. Hier ist kein Verkehr. Das Abendessen und das Frühstück war hervorragend, kein Wunsch blieb unerfüllt. Man kommt wirklich als Gast und verabschiedet sich als Freunde mit einer Umarmung! Danke für die tollen 2 Tage!

We had an unforgettable and wonderful time in Sandy and Charles' small and charming apartment. We received a very friendly welcome right from the start and felt very comfortable there. The two of them are probably the most lovely hosts we have ever had on our travels. They always spoiled us and our 3-year-old son with culinary delights, and they were also able to give us very good tips for our day trips. After our 9 day stay we felt like part of the family. There is simply no more beautiful place near Wilderness. The beautiful landscape of the Paradise Ridge was right in front of our room, and we were even able to watch dolphins from there several times. The breakfast and the dinner we booked were indescribably delicious, we would come back again and again. Thank you very much, dear Sandy and dear Charles, we will never forget our time with you and will hopefully come back again. Our little son also felt very comfortable with you.
