The house is new, located on a small hill with a amazing panorama view over the highland and the glaciers in South Iceland. It is approx.8 km south of the town Flúðir in South Iceland (ca 1:20 hr. drive from Reykjavík). There are a lot of things to see and do. At the Golden Circle. The house has 4 bedrooms, for 8 people, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room and a washroom with a washing machine and a dryer. There is a patio around the house and a hot tub. Brand new house with 4 cozy bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Unique panorama view from the house to the North of Iceland to the Highlands and glacier Langjökull. Outside there is a patio where it is nice to barbecue and a hot tub.

Our stay at Geirthrudur's home exceeded all expectations. The well-equipped house perfectly accommodated our family of five. Our kids, aged 12, 9, and 4, were delighted with the array of amenities: from floats and soccer balls to sand toys, making it an ideal family retreat. Despite the unique phenomenon of the sun's continuous presence, we were treated to mesmerizing "sunsets." The rooms were impeccably clean, and the blackout curtains ensured restful sleep despite the lingering daylight. Geographically well-positioned, the house enabled us to conveniently explore key attractions, including the captivating South Coast. Our itinerary was packed with memorable experiences: a charming petting zoo for the kids, invigorating hikes, enchanting waterfalls, soothing lagoons, and enlightening museums. Geirthrudur's thoughtfully furnished home left nothing to be desired. Throughout our stay, the house truly felt like a cherished home away from home.

This was the perfect place for us to stay in Iceland. We were able to settle in and relax after full days of riding, hiking, sight seeing, shopping, swimming, and more. The location is excellent for people wanting to explore the Golden Circle, Reykjavik, and the south of Iceland. We even went as far as the Westmann Islands and Vik. It worked well for our family to have a central location to come home to vs moving accommodations frequently. The house is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Geirthrudur was amazing with keeping us updated with information on the volcano, and local attractions. She went far beyond what we could have asked and made the trip a huge success. Thank you, Geirthrudur!

Quiet cottage neighborhood, in beautiful nature, with a great view.

出行信息

To go there you must have a car. Parking is on two sides of the house. Nearest store is in Fludir town, about 5-7 minute drive away. Famous Secret Lagoon is located in Fludir. Fludir is best known as an agricultural area where vegetables and fruits are grown, like tomatoes, cucumber, red/green/yellow peppers, stramberries etc.
During the winter a 4x4 vihicle may be needed to reach the house.
