This spacious property is conveniently located to downtown Winder. Be sure to Google area attractions and restaurants to find out what is available. There is a cute little downtown with several eateries and shops, an independent bookstore, a Publix and CVS, and a museum. We particularly enjoyed Bistro Off Broad, located on E Candler Street. Smokin’ Po Boys BBQ, also downtown, is another good option. Fort Yargo is a large state park right across the highway from Shawn’s subdivision with a huge lake, paddle boats and canoes, biking and hiking trails ($5/day entrance fee). Though it’s just a half mile or less from the subdivision, you’ll want to drive over – the highway accessing Turtle Creek is not suitable for walking or biking. People drive very fast and there is no shoulder. Shawn responded promptly to our questions and observations. Note that all bedrooms are upstairs. The staircase is steep and long, possibly a challenge for someone with bad knees. The coffee pot takes both K-cups and drip. There’s no toaster, so plan your breakfasts accordingly. ;)

The location of the house was great and easy to get to. The downstairs living area and master bedroom was decorated very nicely, however, the other rooms were not decorated at all. Some of the towels/washcloths were stained so we ended up purchasing some to use for the trip. I would recommend anyone planning to stay to do the same. The fridge was leaking and we informed the owner, small inconvenience as we had to keep cleaning the floor. Other than that we enjoyed our stay, and felt safe at the home. They do allow pets which is awesome!!

Fun and quiet 2-story 3-bedroom house. Excellent communication and flexibility from the owner. Great location, with nearby Gym and Mexican restaurant.

House was perfect for my work trip. Well decorated, had extra little things like condiments, utensils, soaps, shampoos, etc. Close to anything you'd need. Do recommend and would stay again.
