Marvz's unit was small but very well equipped. The smart TV easily streamed all of our services. Two large bottles of service water were supplied. The AC was very effective, the bed was really comfortable and quiet. The building had a security person always on duty, who were always very friendly. The place has a great swimming pool and pretty average gym. Although remote, Amissa is easily connected to Newtown (4km away) and beyond via Jeepney or bigger more modern buses. The fare to Newtown one way was only 16 Peso, less than half of an Australian dollar - travelling via Jeepney was a good cultural experience and we always felt safe. There is a public beach less than 1km away but it wasn't a beach by Aussie standards! At Newtown was a fairly good supermarket and lots of good value eateries. Local people sell bananas, pastries, bread etc at very economical prices. It cost us less than $10 to get to the airport via taxi, which there staff called for us. We would return!

We didn't get to stay in the unit because of health restrictions, however we weren't notified of the cancellation, either. We were at the gates. The supposed weekend getaway turned out to be a comedy of errors...I was expecting a full refund but I had to file a ticket to get refunded of the booking fee, too.
