Beach Buoys is a fabulous bungalow in a wonderful setting literally seconds away from the fantastic Bigbury-on-Sea Beach in South Devon. Having been recently extended and refurbished to the highest standard, this is the perfect ‘getaway’ house for family holidays. With a large open lawned area to the front and a back garden with a large patio area, the property has plenty of space for all your surfboards or paddle boards! You won’t have far to carry them either. Park up on the driveway at Beach Buoys and you can see the beach and smell the sea. It’s that close! A brand new refurbishment has transformed this bungalow and inside it’s truly stunning. Just to the left of the back door exists a shower to rid yourself of salt and sand prior to entering. A small hallway hides the boiler and a washing machine. The open plan kitchen is next to the lounge/diner and is fitted out to a very high standard with all the necessary appliances including a coffee maker. Sitting in the centre is a beautiful hand crafted curved island with a wooden top, bespokely made for Beach Buoys, ideal for early morning coffees whilst contemplating the day ahead. The lounge has two comfortable settees and a large flat screen TV. The dining room has a table which seats 8 and from here, you can see Burgh Island Hotel made famous by Agatha Christie. The master bedroom, off from the dining room, has a king bed with its own en-suite shower room with WC. Bedroom 3 has 2 twin beds, one with a truckle under, making this a perfect space for children. Along the hall is the family bathroom with a shower, bath and WC and basin. Bedroom 2 faces the back garden and has French doors leading out on to the patio. This room houses a double bed, cupboard and wall mounted television. The property has a large terraced garden to the rear, laid to lawn with a patio area. The front garden is laid to lawn and is flat.

A walking holiday to Devon in November with the current weather didn't seem to be a brilliant idea but we were so glad we went. Patsy's place is so comfortable and warm to come home to after spending the days walking (mostly in the dry). Lots of space and everything worked as it should. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Just returned from a fabulous few days at Beach Bouys. The house was in a great location, minutes from the beach with a great view of Burgh Island from the lounge. The house was clean and tidy, and kitchen is very well equipped. Smart TVs in all rooms was a bonus! Though thankfully as the weather was so good, we didn't spend much time indoors! Would definitely love to return ☺️
You can’t beat this location. Amazing. The beach is just wonderful and even in rainy weather a joy to walk. The property’s main strengths: location, felt secure, felt private and safe, very clean and well equipped kitchen; clean bathrooms and clean bed linens. Downsides - cleaning wasn’t great throughout - spiders and cobwebs in all the corners and around furniture, floor mats and lounge furniture a bit grubby. Garden furniture cushions had some Sort of pet hair all over it and the garden itself needs a bit of attention. Wheelie bins were overflowing when we arrived but we had very strict instructions to put our rubbish away or else! But there was nowhere to put it. No welcome hamper or anything which I think a lot of premium properties now do, but that wasn’t an issue as I had preempted the need for basics like milk, tea coffee and sugar etc

Had an amazing time staying at this property. It’s in a fantastic location within walking distance to such a vast and beautiful beach, which was perfect for walking our dog. The property was modern and well equiped with a handy outside hot shower perfect for washing off the sand after being on the beach. It was very relaxing and quiet and would highly recommend. We had a wonderful stay.
