We stayed at the Boathouse over a week end. We had a lovely welcome waiting with cakes biscuits Prosecco. The house is located in an amazing area on the beach. The area was quiet and peaceful. We were able to sit on the decking in the evening and watch amazing sunsets. The house is clean well maintained and has every home comfort needed. We loved our stay as did Harry our dog . Hopefully will be back to visit again. Thanks again Jules and Tony sorry we forgot to sign comments book.

We try to get away for breaks using Air BnB several times a year, and the boat house is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. The location is the absolute stand out feature - the views from the boat house are incredible and it's so peaceful and still. We enjoyed quiet walks on the beach (literally 30 seconds from the door) with the dog several times a day, and watching the sun set from the decking. The accommodation itself has everything you need, the kitchen had all utensils etc necessary for self catering, and everything was spotless - the cleaner is obviously meticulous. The bed is huge and really comfy and general amenities are plentiful - TV, speaker, storage, outdoor furniture, BBQ etc. We did our shopping at the Tesco in Kirkcudbright (20 mins away), although I believe there is also a Spar in Gatehouse (15 mins). I would thoroughly recommend the boat house to all and we will absolutely be back in the future. Thanks to our hosts x

Had a great break despite bad weather. Good space and utilities for drying. Great access to beach.

Wonderful place to stay, quiet and peaceful with lovely views and local walks. Comfortable cosy accommodation and home baking and bottle of fizz on arrival perfect 👌🏼
