We have had a lovely time at the cottage, it was so cosy and had such a warm and welcoming feel. Nina was easy to contact and flexible with check in and check out times. The cottage was pristine and had everything we needed. Nina sent me lots of information about local places to go and we could walk into the village for food and drink, we felt like we had escaped reality here. I would highly recommend for anyone wanted to get away and have a stress free break.

Nina's place is great. Really good location and great for exploring both on foot and by car. the house is cosy but perfect for a couple or small family and is well equipped, including extra touches needed if you're traveling with a baby. Nina is a great host and always really helpful. Would happily recommend. Thank you.

Stone Cottage is a lovely place to stay. It is down a quiet lane and is clean, warm and comfortable, it has all you might need for your break. It is only a short stroll to Thornton Dale or a short drive to Pickering and just 25 miles from York. Nina is an excellent communicator and supplied plenty of information for the local area with regard to places to eat and places to visit. Thank you for having us to stay and we look forward to visiting you again.

Nina is a fantastic host, straight away her communication was amazing and she shared lots of details about the house and what we could do in the area if we didn’t have specific plans. The cottage was lovely, small but just what we needed. There was a lovely fire to light at the end of the day, a good bath with very hot water and very comfortable beds. The linen was like hotel linen! Lots of games in the house and my son loved the train set in the bedroom. A lovely garden to the rear and our dogs loved it! We found the shower to be a little disappointing, it wasn’t very hot and it did not have a lot of pressure so we opted for baths instead! Otherwise no negatives and we would consider staying again! Thank you Nina for being so lovely!

Gorgeous cosy cottage in one of the most stunning and preserved villages I have ever been to. It really felt like another world. Nina is also lovely - very easygoing, kind and generous. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in nature but not too remote with good pubs close by - this is it! 100% Cameron Diaz The Holiday vibes!!
