He canceled on the day 1 hour until check in. Never once answered a message from me. Left me and my children out 800 miles from. But thankfully for helpful airb&b staff we found a place that very day.

This home is most certainly not as advertised and the pictures are very misleading. I am writing this review solely to keep other unsuspecting families from falling into the same trap. Steve has done just enough improvements on the house to make it appear to be in great shape for pictures, but it is far from that condition. There are 2 holes in the wall of the utility room, a broken door in the utility room, an area rug in the utility room which is in terrible shape, the carpet downstairs is heavily stained and your feet will stick to it if barefoot, on the carpet directly at the bottom of the stairs a long and skinny rectangular piece is missing from the floor which is covered up with an area rug (this creates a decent size dip which is a tripping hazard), the linens in the master are old an worn, most of the towel are greatly worn and some look more like rags, the door frame in the master has a chunk of wooden missing on it, the linoleum in the kitchen has chunks missing out of it and is water damaged by the fridge, moldy bread was found in the kitchen cabinets, one of the kitchen cabinet drawers is a fake drawer and falls of if you attempt to open it, the drawer on the kitchen cabinets are crooked, the cushion seats on the couch in the living room are stained, there is a vehicle without tags under the carport so guest cannot use it, the carport is a makeshift tool and supply shed, the backyard is in poor shape (which is probably why the backyard pics were taken at night), there is a broken down yellow and black car in the backyard with a "pet area" that is in disrepair, there is a giant bolt on the back door (which leads one to believe there is a reason for this due to the area the home is located), etc. I recognize Steve may be making repairs as he can afford to do so, however misrepresenting the house is not okay (mostly through pictures). We paid over $1300 for 3 nights and it was not worth it nor would I recommend the experience to anyone. We endured it due to the cancellation policy. I am sure Steve is making further improvements as he can afford to do so, but it doesn't excuse the current state of the home (vs the way it is advertised). If the homeowner, Steve, would like to dispute our experience, I did take pictures as proof and would be happy to share them with Airbnb.

Lots of blankets, cups, silverware, and plates. Cute coffee station with 4 different flavors to choose from. Hot tub in the backyard with a very large backyard for the kids to play in. Amazing TV and has hey google in the house for music! Had lots of notes around the house to help you know how to work stuff. The master bedroom is down stairs and has a dart board and pool table. Would stay there again. Probably one of my favorite stays! Steve is a great host!
