All the detailed positive reviews on Mark & Karen's place were spot on. Other than visiting the local botanical garden, we spent all of our time on the property and loved every minute. Not going to rehash other reviews but a few interesting bits worth mentioning: (1) the outside is very tranquil and relaxing (beautiful lush green landscaping with sounds from a beautiful waterfall & fountains...great for meditation and/or naps), (2) the pool was a nice 85-86 degrees and kids spent a ton of time in it, (3) there are at least 4 ways to make coffee (we only used the drip but totally cool to have options). Highly recommend it!

The home was the perfect getaway for our adult children, five grandkids, and us. We enjoyed all the amenities. With the great pool and hot tub, game-room, corn hole, bocce ball, badminton, croquet, volleyball, fire table, and grill, we spent nearly all of our time outside. But, the inside was also spacious and lovely.

Mark & Karen's home is simply spectacular. Pictures and words don't do it justice. Absolutely perfect for a family vacation with all ages and abilities. From our 8 year old daughter in a wheelchair, to her 76 year old grandparents - The activities and the indoor and outdoor spaces for connection, reflection, peace & quiet, and just plain fun are endless. From the shed filled with boogie boards and other toys for the beach, to the well equiped game room where my brothers and I desperately tried to maintain ping pong dominance over the next generation, to the pool/hot-tub combo of every family's dreams, you simply won't want to leave this house. All that being said, the home is also within a comfortable drive to the best attractions of SoCal. We had day trips to Sea World, Disney, and Oceanside beach - this location was perfect. One additional call-out, if anyone in your travel group happens to have mobility disabilities or challenges, Mark & Karen's home is very accessible. when they learned our daughter was in a wheelchair they offered to leave ramps setup throughout the property so that she could easily access the activities and spaces along with the rest of the family. The home also has a roll-in, stand-up shower on the main level. 5 stars all around. We will be back!
