This was undoubtedly the highlight of my trip. Such a beautiful & peaceful place & everyone really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are fairly basic, but you're not there for the rooms & the views & surroundings more than makeup for it. Go for a trek, read a book in the hammock, enjoy a yoga lesson or just sit on your balcony & listen to the wildlife. Absolute bliss!

How better to explain this place than saying I never wanted to leave! Nihal and his team were amazing. Treks were beautiful, food was great and there truly is a bit of magic there. Thank you Nihal, wijaya, themiya, namal and everyone else for making my stay perfect. Can't wait to come back.

Polwaththa Eco Lodges certainly live up to its name, especially if you're a nature lover who relish the rustic-style living amidst the forest canopy. Be prepared to encounter wildlife like grizzled giant squirrels scaling the sky-high mango trees in search for food, tiny shrub frogs leaping away within the shared compound, endemic birds chirping in a symphonic tune among the lush greenery, and a variety of flowering plants that thrived in the fertile environment. A B&B wouldn't be called as such if its not for the welcoming (and ever so smiling) staff who have made this place extra special. Nihal and his team (particularly Sanjeewa and Wijaya whom my traveling companion and I had cordial interactions with on more than one occasions ) had displayed genuine hospitality and friendship that give a soul to Polwaththa Eco Lodges; indeed the phrase 'home-away-from-home' would aptly describe the heartfelt experience I had during my stay with them. I could go on forever but don't take my words for it. To truly appreciate the beauty of the country and its people, I would definitely recommend putting up at Polwanththa Eco lodge when you're visiting Kandy for a few nights. Just remember to inform the staff to heat up the dedicated water tank 1 hour before taking a relaxing shower which is much needed especially after a fruitful day of exploring the beautiful flora and fauna of Sri Lanka.
