塞勒姆 · 民居里的独立房间 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Widows Walk En-suite at Historic John Ives House#7
Enjoy an restful stay in a centrally located inn drenched in history. The room decor is inspired by the history of the John Ives House. A historic home on the national registry! Built in 1760, the historic charm has been carefully maintained, both inside and out! Saturated in a pewter color and brass furnishings, the widows room was once occupied by Sarah Elkins, the shipping widow of Samuel Webb. We like pay homage to her, but as many ask, we have yet to have met “personally”. Brand new private en-suite with attached bathroom thoughtfully designed in a Victorian style to preserve the time period of the countries first indoor plumbing of the Victorian era.
I've been using Airbnb for years now and never have I been so excited to leave a review! Jennifer's place is the perfect place for all of your witchy dreams. The location will save you so much money on Ubers because it's a lovely, short walk to Essex Street and all surrounding attractions. It is cozy and beautifully decorated and has a wonderful view. To all of my solo travelers: this is where you want to stay! I felt extremely safe and had no issues at all. Also the shower is lovely and has great water pressure (which is important!) Walkable, clean, cozy, safe - what more could one ask for? Jennifer also offered great suggestions and was incredibly responsive and kind. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Jennifer was a great host and the house is in a perfect location right in the heart of Salem! It was wonderful to be able to walk everywhere and just leave the car parked. My only complaint is the mattress in the room was not very comfortable and the bed was comically squeaky (which is potentially embarrassing when you’re a light sleeper who tosses and turns a lot!). That said, the house is so cozy with all the charm and atmosphere you’d expect of an historic house in Salem. The bathroom was also beautifully renovated with a fantastic shower. I’d absolutely stay here again.
Amazing room for my partner and I to spend on a weekend getaway. Super accessible, ample parking, and close to anything/everything we needed. Jennifer was also super responsive, friendly, and helpful. Great place to stay if you have kiddos too!
Jennifer was a wonderful and responsive host! The space was clean and welcoming. Just be aware that it is a historic building so it’s a bit funky (in a good way)!
Welcome to the Ives Inn! Built in 1760 and located directly on the beautiful, tree-lined Salem Commons. Steps away from everything; museums, historic sites, restaurants, shops and beaches. 3 minute walk to the Witch Museum, 4 minute walk to Essex Street, 4 minute walk to the Wharf, 5 minute walk to the Peabody Essex Museum, 5 minute walk to the Ferry where you can take a shuttle around Salem, an excursion on General Patton’s personal boat, or take a scenic trip into Boston! 7 minute walk to the Witch House, 1 Mile from the Salem Willows, 1 Mile from Winter Island. We are only two blocks from the Ocean in several directions! Stay in one of the oldest houses in Salem; an exquisitely beautiful historic home in an unparalleled location.
You can walk to all major attractions in Salem from our home. We are located directly on Salem Commons! Our most common complaint from guests is that they wish they hadn’t rented a car as they tend not to move it their entire stay!
