This location is hard to beat, 15 to 30 minutes to all parts of the Island. It's also tucked away and quiet! We used this house for a ladies weekend and two of us grew up on the Island. But that didn't stop us from exploring new areas and enjoying our childhood haunts! We had a bunch of food allergies to work around, so the large kitchen and AMAZING 6 burner stove were really helpful as we were often doing a few things at once. And we've never had such a well stocked kitchen; spices and the random things we may have not brought with us. SO helpful when stores aren't close or open late! We also loved the open downstairs for whomever was cooking, while others were reading or just hanging out. The conversation never had to stop! However if you expect any of your party to sleep in the living room, they will be awake when the last person goes to bed and up with the early coffee makers. We were there late enough in the season that the porch wasn't as appealing as we know it must be in the summer. But we did enjoy the very unique swing one afternoon.

Anne's place is in a great location. Very well stocked, quiet, comfortable and spacious. A private place in the pines. The hosts were excellent communicators and responded rapidly and pleasantly to our questions.
This clean and spacious home is a gem. It's located in the midst of a forest, and with all the large windows, you'll never know what you'll see. Woodpeckers, turkeys, deer. The home has high-end appliances, everything you need to cook for even a dinner party, a multi-room sound system, and a library of classics, popular fiction, and non-fiction from the last 30 years that would take a decade to read. From this central location, you can enjoy all that Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and Mount Desert Island have to offer! The owners responded immediately to every question with helpful suggestions and local insight. We'll be back!
We had a great stay at Anne's home. It was extremely well equipped and clean. The location was excellent. Highly recommended.
