We loved our stay at Sam’s. The house was exactly as described and had a warm, cosy and country home feel. Sam was unbelievably helpful and helped me numerous times. We loved the warm fireplace stove and staying in a mud brick house in beautiful Maldon.

Absolutely loved our stay! This cottage is a hidden gem. Everything we needed was on site and it was do private and peaceful. Our dogs enjoyed being able to roam freely and communication with Sam was excellent. The cottage was clean and plenty of firewood was provided! We wanted to stay longer! Would 100% recommend!

As we were only just passing through the area, we (4 adults) had booked just the one night. it would have been a great place to spend at least a few more nights as the surroundings were quite peaceful and very close to the charming, historic town of Maldon. The cosy central firebox sets the tone of the rustic dwelling. There is also an amazing wall of board games, some of which I have never heard of. Highly recommended for a few restful days and nights in the Victorian countryside.

My sisters and I stayed at Sam’s place and we absolutely loved it. The home looks better than the pictures and is so cosy. It is private and secluded and was so peaceful. We lucky enough to have clear skies as you could see so many stars and the Milky Way so bring a telescope. Probably one of the best airbnbs we have stayed at

A perfect getaway with spacious home, garden & surrounding bushland. Great instructions and very friendly. The firewood at the door was brilliant for easy access & the fire inside heated the house perfectly. Well stocked kitchen, great hot water for showers & comfortable beds. More games than you see in a games shop! Quirky curios to intrigue us & beautiful big windows to illuminate us. We loved the quiet, the bush setting and we felt safe. The area is superb and walking track and old mining literally just out the backyard. The outside fire pit a bonus too. Would highly recommend.
