I almost don't want to write a positive review to keep others away from this place, lol! We had an amazing week in total seclusion. It felt like we were living on our own private estuary. Would 100% go back.

We had an incredible weekend at this cabin. It was perfect for the seven of us and our two little dogs. We loved the privacy of the beach, the animals (seal, salmon, elk, hawks!), and the step back in time we all took when we walked through the door. It is very well set-up for a group of friends to explore, eat, play board games, and just spend time together. There are a couple practicalities I wish I had known before coming that don't in any way lower my review or lessen my chances of going back, but I'll pass them on for future guests. 1. The lighting is pretty dim. We ended up bringing all the lamps out of the bedrooms to help make the living room a bit brighter. If we come back, I'd honestly bring a couple lanterns or a floor lamp! 2. The beach is inaccessible by foot, at least in the winter. You need to use the 3-4 person canoe and the 2 solo kayaks to cross the inlet and get to the beach. Totally fine for us (we did it in 2 trips), but may be tricky for some.

This is a wonderful location for hiking Cascade Head, kayaking and canoeing. or just chilling on the deck. The views from the house are incredible. It had a fully stocked kitchen where we cooked 4 delicious meals for 7 of us. The dishwasher was not working, and the stove burners were partial and funky. This was communicated to us and John and Heather gave us a reasonable discount. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The surroundings are absolutely beautiful. The cabin is vintage, funky, fun. Will definitely be back!
