I think Jayne and Eddie’s place is the most wonderful Airbnb we’ve stayed in. It was just perfect for our group of 5. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and so cozy. We wished we could stay longer! Their informational book was helpful in planning excursions, finding a restaurant, and when we had a questions about how to operate the oven. Eddie was so attentive and friendly; he came over upon check-in and check-out. Little touches like fresh eggs and bread were so thoughtful!

Had a wonderful time in this accommodation, thank you. The location is lovely and quiet but close enough to many towns - we used the Park and Ride to get into York and would recommend as it was easy and stress free. A nice touch to receive the milk, bread and treats on arrival, thank you! We would definitely stay again.

We've just returned from a wonderful short break at The Old Post Office in Alne. The house was extremely clean, warm & comfortable. It was well equipped with everything we needed and we really appreciated the consumables left for us in the kitchen, including my favourite wine in the fridge! The bathrooms were great with spacious hot showers, plenty of fluffy towels (very nice pink ones in ours) and toiletries supplied. Alne itself is an immaculately kept, peaceful village with many beautiful properties and a pub which does excellent food. There is so much to do in the area that we couldn't fit it all in and would love visit again. Jayne was a warm and welcoming host and it was reassuring to know that they were right next door if we needed anything. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely weekend at the old post office. A beautiful and comfortable home in lovely surroundings. Its got everything you need and the beds are very comfy. A perfect place for a friends weekend away. Easy to drive into York from (about 25 mins), and there is one pub/restaurant about a 2 min walk away - we didn't eat there but the wine was nice.

Lovely house, well equipped and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Bedrooms were all a good size and bathrooms were spotless. Beds were a little soft for me but that is personal preference. Great location for day-trips around North Yorkshire, you will need to drive to the nearest pub though, the Bluebell only opens 5 days a week for limited hours and is very quiet. Would fully recommend.
