La experiencia fue muy agradable, la recomiendo 100%! Tuve la oportunidad de compartir con la familia de Jorge y Gume por 2 semanas las cuales vivi experiencias únicas, me acerqué a la naturaleza y conocí personas extraordinarias con muchas historias interesantes que siempre recordaré. Mi novio y yo fuimos adoptados por la familia como otros miembros mas de ella, nos encanto la orientación de la familia, las visitas guiadas a la ciudad, la culinaria y el vecindario. Todos siempre estaban dispuestos a acompañarnos en las caminatas, junto a Choco, el can protector, nos sentimos seguros diariamente de poder emprender una nueva aventura en las colinas lugar donde pudimos visitar a las llamas, alpacas y ovejas. Volveríamos nuevamente!

J’ai été accueillie chez Jorge et sa famille comme ma famille. C’est un beau dépaysement et une très belle famille, très gentille et très accueillante. J’ai pu apprendre pleins de choses, ce sont vraiment des gens au grand cœur. La première journée, nous avons préparé un petit déjeuner pour les enfants du village, Flor la fille de Jorge, m’a promené un peu partout, elle a été très attentive, serviable, disponible et merveilleuse. J’ai pu rencontré quelques personnes du village et des centaines de lamas !! Ils ont un chien, Choco, de qui je suis tombée amoureuse !! La nourriture préparée par Flor et sa maman était délicieuse et on ne mange que du frais. La maman a préparé du cochon d’Inde à ma demande, j’ai été bien gâtée. J’étais malade et ils ont été aux petits soins, je suis vraiment reconnaissante de les avoir rencontré. N’hésitez surtout pas, c’est une grande et belle expérience humaine que vous vous apprêtez à vivre avec eux. Un pincement au cœur en partant.

We are so grateful we got to stay in Ocra and experience the beauty of this place and get to know the village of Ocra! A true highlight of our time in Peru. Flor and Gume were fabulous hosts and shared so much of their time with us, showing us the farm, cooking us amazing food, and introducing us to the community. We would change nothing about our experience! This is a truly special place—if you are interested in the Andean way of life there is no better opportunity to peek into the customs and practices. DO RESEARCH before coming! This is a working farm and you will see llama hides everywhere and eat Guinea Pig. If you need a luxury experience, hate windy roads or are squeamish about meat this is not for you. BUT if you are interested in farms or indigenous practices like we are, you will have the cultural experience of a lifetime.

This was one of the best parts of our trip! This is the kindest family and they were super accommodating for anything we could need. We used a translate app a lot because we know little Spanish and still were able to get to know them well! This is such a peaceful town full of nice people. We were shown around the town of Ocra and were able to eat real Peruvian dinners with this family (including Guinea pig from their farm). If you are looking for a TRUE Peruvian experience this is it! We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed the stay with Jorge's family. They are amazing. From the first moment we felt really welcomed and had the possibility to get some glimpse into the life of an Anden family. If you want to go off the beaten track, this Airbnb is the perfect choice for you.
