Pinsley Corner is a stylish and cosy country retreat perfectly located in the village of Long Hanborough. Easy access to Blenheim Palace and it’s a 5 minute walk to Hanborough Station with excellent connections to London Paddington and Oxford. Country walks, open fields, circling red kites and fantastic pubs are all on the doorstep. The cottage benefits from a private entrance and parking Feeling like a home from home, there's a cosy living room, good sized bedroom with a king-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, and a simple kitchen. The Living Room: The open red brick fire place (not in use) takes centre stage. It's a historic living space dating back to 1900 providing a taste of English country life in times gone by. The living room also has a 50 inch television with cable (sky) subscription, on demand services, prime, Netflix and Disney plus. There is a comfy double sofa bed which guests are welcome to use as a separate bed (additional bedding can be provided on request). There are numerous board games and books (mostly travel) and literature/maps/etc of the local area, including detailed information from our own experience living in the area. The lovely open fireplace is now just decorative and cannot be used for safety reasons. The bedroom: From several years travelling the globe we understand how a comfortable bed and good nights sleep can make the difference. There's a very comfortable king sized bed with good quality mattress and bedding to provide just that. Good sized wardrobe for storage, several mood lighting options and a small amount of seating. The bathroom: Walk in shower. No bathtub. All bathroom essentials provided. The Kitchen: Pinsley Corner has a simple but stylish kitchen with microwave/grill, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, induction hob and all essential cooking equipment. There is a small dining table for two. We don't like to oversell our kitchen, as it's functional but very simple and rustic. Most guests decide to eat out at the excellent local pubs etc, however if you decide to self cater, our lovely little kitchen has everything you'll need for a short stay. We provide tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and will leave these in the kitchen for you prior to your arrival. We would encourage guests to bring their own breakfast - alternatively you can access the nearby Co-op supermarket, pub or cafe (and there's also the 10 minute train into Oxford which provides endless options). Entrance/driveway - Pinsley Corner has it's own private entrance from the driveway. The driveway is shared with the main house (where we live) but you will have a designated space throughout your stay (room for one vehicle only). Outdoor space - We don’t have outdoor space as such. There is a small courtyard entrance and this would be just big enough to move the dining table but it is really just the entrance. There are country fields only a stones throw from the house for summer picnics.
