Escape to the Oxfordshire countryside and enjoy Elm Farm Annex, an inviting holiday cottage situated between the popular towns of Woodstock and Witney. With its enviable location, peaceful garden and homely interiors, this property is perfect to share with family or friends and explore not only the local area, but also the city of Oxford. Elm Farm Annex is a comfortably furnished and spacious Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps five guests (see Finer Details), in two bedrooms, with two bathrooms. The property is a truly welcoming, countryside retreat merging contemporary style with traditional, rustic features such as an Aga, wood burner and exposed wooden beams. This blend creates a wonderfully warming and inviting home. The back garden includes a patio with outdoor furniture which is surrounded by Cotswold chippings and tall hedges, making the space feel private and secluded; a lovely spot to enjoy throughout the year. With its timeless decor and superb location just moments from a lovely local pub, Elm Farm Annex makes a charming rural retreat. This dog friendly holiday property welcomes two medium sized dogs! Accommodation This two bedroom holiday cottage in Freeland is an ideal base for exploring Oxfordshire; from the breathtaking Blenheim Palace to the historic city centre, there is something for everyone. The accommodation is laid out as follows: Ground Floor Sitting/dining room Two three-seater sofas, Smart TV with apps (account holders only), wood burner, desk, dining table seating six and door leading to garden Reception room Double height ceiling with console table and armchair Shower room Shower, heated towel rail, loo and basin Kitchen/breakfast room Dual views, electric Aga (see Things To Note...), microwave, dishwasher, electric oven, two-ring induction hot plate, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer and breakfast table seating six Utility/boot room Washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, sink, ironing board, iron, clothes airer, coat hooks and bench with boot storage First Floor Master bedroom (Sleeps 2) King size bed, chest, armchair, large Velux windows and chest of drawers Bedroom 2 (Sleeps 3) Two single beds (can be super king size bed on request), single bed suitable for children under 18, large Velux windows and chest of drawers Family bathroom Bath with overhead shower and separate handheld shower attachment, loo, basin and heated towel rail Outside Unenclosed landscaped patio and pebble garden with tall hedges and wooden bistro table for four

Extremely uncomfortable stay due to the severe lack of privacy and seclusion as advertised and certainly not dog friendly. Owner’s office located only a few meters away from the entrance to the cottage. Owner always sat behind his desk in front of the big windows looking at the cottage. Owner’s house located on the opposite site of the cottage also just a few meters away with many windows also overlooking the cottage. Owner constantly crossing the entire length of cottage on his way to and from his house to his office on narrow path right outside the cottage. Owner was frequently in the backyard of our cottage talking to another man! All curtains and blinds had to be drawn the entire time. Constant coming and going of cars to and from the main house, the driveway to which is right outside the cottage. On the Saturday, the owner spent the entire day mowing the lawn with his very loud tractor like lawnmower. The owners had a complete lack of respect for our privacy.

Freeland is a pretty village with a cosy country pub, The Oxfordshire Yeoman, located just a short five minute walk from Elm Farm Annex. The village is also home to a beautiful church, attractive village green and a popular Garden Nursery. Local towns of Witney and Woodstock are just a 10 minute drive away, with an array of eateries, local shops, and most famously, Blenheim Palace. Further afield is the city of Oxford; explore the historic sights, enjoy a punting trip or shop 'til you drop in the Westfields centre. For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op in Long Hanborough and larger supermarkets in Witney.
Freeland is surrounded by an array of footpaths and trails, meandering through various villages. Travelling to the area is easy, with a station in Long Hanborough and its frequent connections to London.
