This far exceeded our expectations. This expansive property and large solidly built historic cottage would have stood out anywhere. But it happens to be set at the edge of the harbor so, from the porch, you can look left to boats and comings and goings through the channel, to the right and across you can look at the peaceful hollow and long beach. We had beautiful sunrises and cool breezes. Plus unimpeded views of egrets, herons and osprey in their natural environment. Beautiful sounds of the sea and nature. The home is full of Plymouth history and Nathan invited us to explore it with wall hangings and books of photos, stories and old articles. Besides history, the home had ample room and a variety of spaces for our family and some guests. Nate was generous with insistence that every item in the fully stocked house was ours to use as long as we put everything back the way it was. Fun meals! The home, the property, the setting and the generosity of our host made it magical

I can’t say enough about this place. A beautiful home and a beautiful location. Nate was accommodating and had all the special touches to make us feel like locals. The house itself was immaculately clean and the history of it is really interesting and fun to learn about. The porch and yard were perfect for relaxing and the location couldn’t be better. We had a number of small kiddos in our group who loved to wade in the water to find sea creatures. Can’t wait to book this again!

The Porch is such a special place. This was the perfect place to bring the family together for Mom’s 80th birthday celebration. We spent 6 days here and outside of a couple trips into Plymouth, we rarely left the house. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the house came well-stocked with everything we could have asked for. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with dishes, serving platters/utensils, spices, etc. On most nights we set a long table on the porch and enjoyed each other’s company over a home-cooked meal. The beds were all very comfortable, plenty of space for 12 people. The only thing that could have made it better is if we could have stayed longer! Nate was a great host… very responsive and super welcoming when he met me for check-in. If you are on the fence about renting this home, do it! It is worth it in every way.

This is our second stay and we hope to return again. The home offers spacious tastefully decorated rooms that enhance its style and period. Enjoyed by all is the fantastic wrap around porch over looking the water. Some of our clan enjoyed being able to kayak from the property. The property is well situated for delightful walks in historic Plymouth . It is a wonderful place for a family gathering. Linda Carder

Perfect venue for a family gathering while exploring Plymouth, Boston and the surrounding area. Location is unmatched as it's proximity to downtown and the water were ideal! The home is full of New England charm and Nathan the host was incredibly kind and accommodating!
