Duje met us as we arrived by car, took me to the free parking lot he recommended, gave us a tour of the apartment and offered suggestions. First of all, this place is stellar! I don’t know that I’ve been in a place so modern, well equipped, thoughtfully provisioned from BIG screen tv, ac adapters, wine in the fridge, fresh baked bread on the counter, snacks, coffee, a selection of teas, candy, great WiFi, heated floors…. I could go on and on. Who does that??? And clean? Unbelievable!!! The location is minutes from the Palace, the Promenade, bars, restaurants. You can tell he takes pride in his unit and it shows. He’s always reachable and available for whatever you need. He even walked me to my parked car when I couldn’t remember exactly how to get there through the windy alleys. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Duje’s place. The place was spotless, well appointed with everything you could think of to make you feel at home with a private courtyard. It was so peaceful even though you were close to the busy Palace area. The bread, cheeses, meats, wine and sweets were much appreciated after a long travel day. I can’t say enough about how kind and genuinely caring Duje is. He helped us on many occasions and spent a good deal of time with us to answer our questions. He really does care and it shows. Well done, Duje! We highly recommend “A Piece of Cake.”

Duje was an excellent host. He met us at the ferry, showed us how to use everything, and communicated very well about transportation, excursions, amenities, markets and more. He stocked the apartment, kitchen and bathroom very well. Duje was very generous and thoughtful. He checked to see how we were doing and if we needed anything else a couple times over the two weeks. The apartment was newly renovated and very clean. The locked gate outside the garden sitting area was a nice safety feature. The location was convenient to the Old Town, port, train/bus stations, and promenade.

The apartment was spotless and the location could not have been better. The apartment had all the amenities you could wish for with some very nice touches and we enjoyed the small terrace where we would have a glass of wine after a busy day. The apartment is only a few minutes walk to the promenade, Palace, old part of Split and the busy local market. There are also lots of good supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants close by. Our host (Duje) was extremely helpful and very responsive with any requests or information we required and was very easy to contact. We also learnt about the history of the building and its link with Duje's family. Overall we had a fantastic holiday in Split with some great memories and would certainly consider returning in the future. A very special thanks to Duje who helped make our stay so enjoyable and easy.

Duje is an excellent host and the apartment was perfect in every way possible! I had a wonderful 2 weeks here, and Duje made it feel like home for every bit of it. He is dedicated to making sure you have a good time visiting his beautiful country, and will go out of his way to accommodate you whether it's through questions you may have, recommendations, or even itinerary changes. I would love to visit again in the future! Hvala!
