There are 2 complete private bathrooms in the house near the bedrooms. The port wine farm is situated in the area that has been declared by UNESCO world heritage! Today, this region, is a world wide reference on table and port wines. The 200 years old Family house it's placed on a hill surrounded by vineyards and mountains! You have available and starting from our property a fantastic walk through vineyards and by the river. We provide as well in our cellar wine tasting. The space is unique because it has all the original features. Our guests will experience a cosy and very personalized approach and they will understand how a family in the Douro lived a 100 years ago! We offer 100% soft cotton bed linen, we provide every day bedroom cleaning service. Because the house it's situated in the the middle of vineyards you can go for a refreshing walk early in the morning on the vineyards without leaving the property. The kitchen is only for the use of the owners of the house. The fridge is just for family use it's a small size and unfortunately it will no be able to cater for the guests use. We can provide some tapas and wine from the region and a PICNIC BASKET if we have capacity that day and if you order in advance.

We feel very fortunate to have found Elisabete’s place, Quinta do Fojo. It exceeded our expectations in every way, and was the highlight of our Portugal trip. Check-in was easy, and Elisabete’s Mom was so kind and welcoming. Elisabete is a fantastic host who made us feel so welcome and comfortable. She suggested amazing restaurants for each of our two evenings in the area, and also arranged the taxis. The charm of her place is so special…and the homemade breakfasts were a highlight! The property offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and acres of vineyards in every direction. The pool offers a great place to relax and enjoy the quiet while enjoying the amazing views. DO NOT miss her wine-tasting experience. The wine is spectacular, and listening to her talk passionately about generations of her family’s winemaking gives it a very personal touch. Highly recommended for those looking for a unique getaway in the Douro Valley with classic charm. Thank you Elisabete!

Très bon accueil d'Elisabete et toute sa famille. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient plaisantes et confortables. Les plus : un très bon petit déjeuner et une piscine très agréable où il fait bon lézarder. Nous nous sommes bien reposés pendant notre séjour.

After having lived in Madrid and in London and being 23 years out of Portugal, my current dream, is to develop the farm on the following areas of wine table production and tourism. Nothing better than a good book accompanied with a nice glass of wine and being surrounded by this magnificent landscape. This place only brings me happy memories of my childhood always surrounded by friends and family. Over the past 4 years it has been a meeting point for old and best friends to be able to meet and enjoy lovely dinners and parties either by the fire place or under a hot summer night with a sky dotted with sparkling starts! This place is magic for me and it only has life when shared with people that appreciate all of what I've just described!
