Tranquility and peace are the hallmarks of the area, with easy walking distance to numerous hiking trails, through forest and mountain areas. The village is one of many in the area where traditional music is a regular feature within many of the pubs.
A 5-minute walk into the village and you can enjoy a cup of coffee at That's My Brew or if you are in the mood for a pizza just across the road at The Snug.
The marina is also within walking distance, where you can take a boat trip to Holy Island, one of the most famous monastic sites in Ireland.

Public transport is available several times per day to major centres - Limerick and Ennis. There are also local taxi services available.
