It was comfortable and warm. A nice place to stay and perfect for visiting Beamish Living Museum which we visited twice.

As a guest I try to give an honest review so other guests know what to expect, Louises place was comfortable enough, the bathroom and bed linen were very clean, as a guest I also expect to get what I see in the photos, unfortunately Louise needs to update the photos to reflect what the unit looks like now as the unit is in need of some maintenance. Loose taps in the kitchen, broken cupboard door, kitchen table legs loose. Things that were advertised but were not there, toiletries, no shampoo or body wash, some of the furniture had been replaced with old and dirty furniture, the outside was untidy, there was a knife that had been dropped at the laundry door, Louise and the cleaners stepped over it everyday and no-one bothered to pick it up, no dedicated work space, an old desk in the bedroom that had no room to put a chair and too far from the end of the bed to use it as a seat, there are 7 units in a square so there is no privacy and it feels more like a motel than a bnb

A fantastic cottage in a lovely quiet location but close to local attractions. A very nicely decorated, well equipped, spotlessly clean place to spend a few days, wish we had booked for longer. Louise & Angus are very friendly and very helpful - we will be back
