We only had a short stay, but it was very enjoyable. We arrived to find an adorable little cabin with fresh eggs from their chickens and fresh honey from their bees. It was a wonderful welcome gift. We would go back again.
A terrific, quiet place amid trees under the starry sky, Michael's cabin is perfect for getting away. Moreover, it's stocked with vitals and treats (e.g., great coffee, breakfast fixings) in a nice kitchen making it possible to just settle-in, stay, and relax under those stars. Definitely want to get back up there.
Great cozy spot. We only got to stay one night but we wish we'd planned for a longer stay. It was very peaceful and the perfect place to rest our heads. Our dog Scrabble was thrilled to find a few treats waiting as were we! Milkbones for the puppy and the most delicious homemade cookies with fresh eggs from their chickens waiting in the fridge. Great stay!
Everything was just as described, which was a perfect getaway for us and our large dog. Clean, cozy, quiet, warm in the winter, and we loved the snacks and treats (as did our dog). All the small homey touches and decorations were great. We enjoyed walking around with our dog around the property in the snow. We had no issues at all, and all our questions were promptly answered. We would stay here again for sure.
Rural neighborhood on the east side of the Pecos River from the village of Pecos, NM. Some great restaurants, near some great hiking, mountain biking, trail running, fishing. The Pecos National Historic Site is a must see and you're in the mountains north of Santa Fe so it's a great way to visit all Santa Fe has to offer and get back to the quiet of Pecos in the evening. You'll likely hear a few coyotes calling in the distance, and our rooster Gandalf may be your alarm clock.
We're a bit off the beaten path from Pecos and the first time driving to our home can be a touch confusing, but we'll give you our best directions. Most GPS navigation will take you to one side of our property but just follow the road to the left and we're the first driveway on the right and has signage. Getting around Pecos and the surrounding communities is a snap.
