Mari was a most caring host. She exudes a calm energy, always smiling and happy to help. The rooms are beautiful, and the whole garden is full of plants and fauna. There’s a fireplace in every room for when the sun drops in the evening and it becomes cooler. Mari let me use the kitchen which I very much appreciated as I have a special diet and she was always on hand to help if I needed. we communicated via my limited Spanish and good old translate apps. The food, if you choose to eat there, is clean, vegetarian and the two girls who cook were really lovely too. I’d highly recommend this place if you are looking for some down time. Great hikes to nearby San Mateo, easy enough to get to San Jose, this whole area is very charming and I’d definitely return.

Would recommend anyone who loves nature, yoga, and wants to enjoy the real rural Mexico experience to go to Mari’s place. It is the best airbnb i’ve stayed in. Although it is secluded in an rural area, they make sure you won’t get bored an can do activities like inhouse yoga, hiking. And best of all the temazcal experience under guidance of Mari’s mum. The best thing on my vacation so far. Love to note as well: felt really safe as a solo women traveller.

We really enjoyed our two nights here. It is a secluded little sanctuary in the mountains and a great place to relax. Mari and Lluvia were very helpful and Liella (unsure of spelling) was an amazing cook! Would come back again for sure.
