This is a great apartment, very close to the castle and old town, and an easy walk to the beach areas. There are many shops, bars and restaurants nearby. We were greeted in person by Giulia, who was really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She arranged an early check-in for us and let us keep our car in the garage for a while after check-out. The secure parking was a bonus at a very reasonable price. the apartment was spotlessly clean.

Perfect & private! This space gave us room to stretch out and relax after days in the old town with the day trippers. It was also a great base for exploring the area. The only downside with no fault to the host was the loud music from the port area but that disappeared with the cruise tourists. We really appreciated the large clean space & the rooftop as well as the availability for the parking underground. One of our best stays in Italy.

Michela was a great host and we enjoyed staying at the apartment right outside the castle walls of the old town of Otranto. It is hard to imagine a better location for visiting the local restaurants, bars, and beaches. For preparing food at home, the apartment is also a short walk from bakeries, a cheese shop, a fruit and vegetable store, and a small supermarket—although we found them on our own, since there was no list of local shops or activities provided. The kitchen was equipped with pots and pans and dishes and cups and glasses, utensils, and tableware. We appreciated the washing machine and the opportunity to keep our car in the garage for an additional fee. It was easy to communicate with Michela and we are grateful to her for making her apartment available on short notice. We had booked through Airbnb with a German company called Bookiply that had subcontracted out to an Italian company, Travellito. They pulled a bait-and-switch on us, advertising wifi in the very title of the property and then telling us there was none—unless we wanted to pay extra. There were also hidden costs, including for linens. (We are including this information about Bookiply only as a warning to other people—this has nothing to do with Michela’s apartment, which was great.) We cancelled with the other place and Michela came to our rescue. Grazie, Michela!
