The Strawhouse resort and cafe is one of our go to spots when we camp on the Trinity and this was our first time staying with them. The studio was nice and quiet and the AC was a godsend with the heat. There was no one staying in the attached space so we had the whole area to ourselves and it was lovely! The kitchen has basic amenities so make sure to bring what you need that said we easily made 3 dinners with no issues! Make sure to stop in for lunch or their pizza ( I specifically love the veggie sando and get it every time!) we will absolutely be back!

I loved the cottage. It was well appointed with good quality and tastefully decorated. Beautiful wooden floor, lovely colors on the walls, thoughtful artwork. Even the switch plate covers are mosaic! A very sweet space with a good mattress, linens; I slept well there. Consider the chest at the end of the bed for storage space for your luggage. There could have been a little more space for clothing but really it’s manageable. Outside the back door is a laundry area with washer and dryer and even laundry detergent (the good kind). As a guest, you have the grounds of the entire resort at your disposal which includes a private lawn that meets the River! Excellent organic coffee (I bought some to take home!) and breakfast. Lunch is served there, as well. The cafe closes in the early afternoon so I found the outdoor space there a perfect place to bring my dinner. I enjoyed sipping my wine there, trying to count the hummingbirds and watching the river flowing by me. Julie actually saw me there and brought an amazing desert out to me. I will be returning but next time I want to be in a cabin directly on the river! 🌲💦

The listing is accurate. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was good. It's a pretty place. If you plan to cook on the grill or hot plate you will need to bring cooking things with you. The unit was clean and the area was quiet at night. Julia gives very good directions to get to the Airbnb.

Highly recommended! Very peaceful and quiet with great hospitality and REALLY good food. River access was phenominal.
