Dimitris was always responsive and generous with his time, and he suggested wonderful things for us to see and do in the area. He shared the fruits of his orchards and other treats like his own organic honey and ouzo. It was amazing. The house is so beautiful and romantic for a couple, and the town has some wonderful tavernas and shops, all within walking distance. The village of Gavalohori is picturesque but inhabited by lots of expats. The location is fantastic for exploring western Crete. A magical stay.
excellent,great location in a picturesque and authentic village, away from the hustle and bustle in beautiful surroundings, excellent restaurants within walking distance, very friendly and helpful host, lots of information about possible activities in the area tailored to the wishes of guests. house in perfect condition, everything made with love, full refrigerator for delicious breakfast, drinks and snacks, also from our own garden. kitchen well equipped with all necessary things such as pepper, salt, olive oil, herbs for preparing a meal yourself. highly recommended location and home.
Dimitris is a natural host. He gave us great, detailed tips for drives, beaches and restaurants. He also gave us delicious honey, bread, special Cretan biscuits, his own excellent olive oil, local produce, wine and more. The house is set in front of Dimitris’s olive and fruit tree grove and is very quiet. It is every bit as pretty as the photographs. Very highly recommended for a perfect holiday.
