Gary's home is simply beautiful- from the vast garden, to the jacuzzi, to the beautifully decorated room, everything was carefully crafted and well decorated! Gary himself is a wonderful host, and has a lot of knowledge about the area! His dogs and chickens (and baby chicks!) were simply adorable. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves and plan on staying here should we come out to the area again! Thank you Gary!

I really enjoyed my brief stay with Gary! It’s in beautiful and whimsical surroundings, and I instantly felt at home. The space is really big- with a large kitchen. The shower is gorgeous tile and HUGE- could easily fit a wheelchair, or shower bench and another person. The guest house is accessible and level, no stairs, with polished concrete type floor- which means a power chair could access the space. (It has rugs on the floor, but those can be easily moved.) It is also good for pet owners. Speaking of which, Gary has two very sweet and lovable dogs who instantly want to be your friend. The bed was big, and comfortable, with large, nice ceiling fans that you control on the wall. There is also heating that you control on a wall thermostat, in addition to more fans in the place. Gary provides fruit from His garden- and it is delicious!!!! I inhaled the orange straight away. It was clean enough by my standards(and I can’t take nasty) but it’s not hotel clean, which some guests might find discomfiting. I tactfully let Gary know, because he’s a sweet and amazing host who deserves to know his hired cleaners need to step up or he should find new ones. I definitely plan to return. I enjoyed my one night stay, and will return with my teen next time we want to be near the LA area. This place is not in LA, btw- it’s about 25 miles from downtown LA, so you definitely need a car if you stay here. I drove here, and parked my car on the driveway. It’s a nice, safe, suburban spot and even with traffic, didn’t take me long to get to the Hollywood area(like less than 45 minutes).

Not a very clean unit specially the bathroom. If they didn't clean the bathroom it makes you think about the rest of the unit. over 140 dollars a night for something that is not worth that much

Brand new with comfy, complete and lovely furnishings, these units are cozy, thoughtfully designed and open to an amazing little garden with a huge spa with an infinity edge. The spa has an amazing western view to a lone mountain next door. You can also enjoy the view from the windows and balconies in each unit. Lots of goodies are stashed away for an intimate getaway or a small party. Gary is a warm and friendly host with lots of local knowledge - he built the casitas himself.

We really enjoyed staying in the pool house (we stayed in the Loft). This is a spacious suite with new, modern kitchen and bathroom, and a small porch overlooking the pool (which looked very inviting ... unfortunately we didn’t have time to take advantage of it). The loft was clean and Gary was very helpful in checking us in and offering lots of tips for dinner and local places. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
