We had a lovely break at Poppy Cottage! Fern made us feel very welcome, even leaving us some delicious local scones, jam, and of course, clotted cream. Having had to quickly find accommodation after a broken boiler in our own house, Poppy Cottage, its neighbouring (and absolutely excellent) village pub, and beautiful surroundings offered the perfect refuge. We feel like we’ve been on holiday! Excellent for dogs as well. Thank you, Fern.

One of the best places weve stayed in Devon. Super baby and pet friendly. Fern went above and beyond! Could not recommend more highly

Very comfortable and spacious cottage in beautiful surroundings, not far from Totnes and other South Hams towns but feeling properly rural. A well equipped kitchen, good bathroom with a very powerful shower, and two comfortable bedrooms with good linen and towels. We were biking and found some lovely routes but did need the help of the batteries on our e-bikes - there are some serious hills, but amazing scenery to reward the effort. Access and communication were excellent and the whole place was immaculate. Scones on arrival was a lovely touch, thank you Fern!

Lovely cottage in a great location - beautiful views over Devon and a pub with tasty food next door. Kitchen was well stocked and we really appreciated the cream tea. Not noisy even with the pub right next door, and the pub had a lovely community feel to it. Be aware check out was at 9am when we booked in. Fern was very accommodating with a late check out as no one else was checking in the day we left.
