We’ve just spent a couple of nights at Emily’s shepherds hut ‘Harpstone’ which was an amazing experience and one we hope to repeat again soon. Clear and friendly communication before we arrived set the tone and we knew then that we’d be right at home. The hut was clean and welcoming and Emily had thought of everything - even providing a step, for shorties like me, to help make it even easier to get in and out of the bed, which was my only concern. It’s probably the most well appointed self catering venue we’ve stayed at and we just wished we had been able to book longer. The welcome pack of breakfast goodies was a really nice touch and a friendly wave from the milk collection lorry and those who visited the farm reinforced what a chilled and great place it is. For those thinking of booking - my only recommendation is to take a camera if you have one - the views and photos from the hut are to die for - out of this world and you’ll want to remember them.

A beautiful hut. Really comfortable. Amazing views. Peaceful. Idyllic and a perfect place to relax and unwind. Sitting in the garden and on the hut steps watching the sunset was amazing. Kimmeridge Bay is a 15 minute walk and coastal path has stunning walks. The area is not too touristy. Somewhere to come back to. Emily provided great information and was friendly, approachable and responsive. Wonderful milk, bread, juice, butter, jam, marmalade, granola provided. Everywhere was clean and the bed was so comfortable with a stunning view. I will definitely go back.

we had a lovely two night stay. A car is needed to travel to Swanage although there are lots of lovely local walks. Emily was a lovely host, responsive to messages, the Shepard's hut was well equipped and clean. we were pleasantly surprised to find tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter, bread, butter, cereals and orange juice. lovely views of the coast, we enjoyed watching the birds in the garden and made friends with the cows in the field. Would recommend for a relaxing peaceful stay.

Had a wonderful weekend at the hut, great location for walking , peaceful location on a working farm , loved hearing the cows whooping for joy when they went out to the fields for the first time in 2024! beautifully decorated hut and very cozy , lit the stove as evenings were still chilly ( threw out plenty of heat! ) would not be a problem staying out of season . 5 stars xx
