A really comfortable and very well equipped annexe. We slept like logs and really appreciated the large bathroom with top shower. Best of all is the view from the bedroom window and a short stroll down a nearby path to the sea front where there are interesting walks in both directions. Bute is great for a few days away and the round island drive is easy and very enjoyable.

This was one of the best airbnbs we have stayed in. It was a cosy annexe with a patio and lovely shared garden in a fabulous situation within a prestigious part of Rothesay looking out across the bay. It is in a very quiet and peaceful location so we slept well. The town had everything we needed including a good co-op supermarket. The accommodation was well designed, making good use of space with high quality furnishings and kitchen equipment. There are plenty of good walks around the island, inland and around the coast including just a short lovely woodland walk from near the house into the town with a good bus service back along the coast road to Craigmore pier. Mount Stuart is amazing and quite close by. Coastal views are amazing, particularly in the south looking across to the mountains of Arran. So, we really enjoyed our short break and would love to come back one day, and would be very happy to return to 'Fairfield', perhaps for a bit longer next time.

Excelent place to stay warm and cosy for a weekend away

A warm and very comfortable self contained annex to the main house with spectacular views of the Kyles from the bedroom and a beautiful sunny garden at the back. The place is very well equipped and everything is spotlessly clean and works! Being a little way out has the advantage of quietness and also of providing an enjoyable 20 min walk into the centre either along the seafront or the footpath through the woods above the house.
