This place was in a great location in town. Located in a quiet neighborhood in the woods, we enjoyed a bonfire all 3 nights. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to spread out. The view of the pond was nice added touch. The host is great and shared good recommendations and was very responsive. 5 stars!
Trying to find an affordable rental with at least 3 beds that fit two adults each and 3 full bathrooms isn’t easy. This place filled those needs for 6 adults and zero children. Thank you for that! Beautiful property with a view of the small (private?) lake. Secluded and quiet, yet not far from lots of activities. The lower level had a small kitchenette area which was an unexpected bonus. Very clean and well stocked with basic supplies and ample linens. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and would definitely stay here again.
Our stay at Joe’s place was wonderful. House is beautiful in a lovely secluded quiet area. It was immaculate and well stocked with everything you need, especially in the kitchen. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Lots of nice updates. Patio and upstairs balcony were great to sit outside and enjoy the view of the small lake. Just a couple miles from Sutton bay with good restaurants and quaint shops. Only 30 minutes from Traverse City. Joe replied quickly and checked in often. Highly recommend!
Suttons Bay is in the middle of Leelanau County, voted as one of the most beautiful places to visit in the USA. Cherry blossoms in spring. We have restaurants, quaint shops, festivals and the Inland School Associations Tall Ship for unforgettable lake cruises. Vineyards, many beaches, scenic Leland with historic Fishtown and Lake Michigan in the summer and fall all beckon to welcome you. Late fall shows dramatic color changes while winter provides a snow playground, downhill and trails. Being on the lee side of Lake Michigan we have a maritime climate with comfortable temperatures.
Leelanau county has many beaches to walk on and walking trails, some in woods leading to Lake Michigan. And the TART trail, paved for walking and biking all the way to Traverse City. There is a bus route from Traverse, through Suttons Bay and Omena ending at Northport which has live music on the beach on Friday evenings.
