This is a serene place and is covered by greenery all around. Overlooking the dam and surrounding hills the property offers some lovely views. The house that we were accommodated in had a large dining hall and bedroom and perhaps was under renovation (we were already informed and so am not complaining here). Basic amenities were good. Surprised to see them place a functional fully automatic washing machine and fridge too. Overall the rooms, linens, and bathroom were clean. No second thoughts about recommending this place to a friend. Get in before sunset - we did that mistake and had to deal with the nervousness in the middle of darkness. Google maps don't work in the last mile and obviously no mobile network coverage too near the entrance. Once inside the property, you have a spotty connection. Get your own food/groceries. There is some help to cook but you need to carry your stuff (we were told earlier). Would like to go back if possible.

Awesome place to be one with nature. Lots of nature and spiritual places around, to engage in. Take special prior permission to manjolai day trip (3 days ahead at ambasamudram) Thirukurungudi trekk to be included in other obvious places. Feels like a home rather than sterile 5 star hotel. All adequate comforts are provided. Dont expect thoroughly scrubbed corners. Prof Mohanram is an understated refined host. Helpers are genuinely humble. The entire manimutharu dam feels as if it is iust for us. Early morning, evening walks on the dam offers atma trupti and plenty of photops. Dance of fire flies in the night is surreal. One can hear animals but not sighting. Birds bords birds...peacocks everywhere.

Had a great time with my family. Such a beautiful place and location. Living along with exotic birds, magnificent mountains, gentle streams and thousands of trees was an unforgettable experience. Mr. Mohanram is a lovely host. Loved the deep conversations with him. We enjoyed the home style local food prepared by Muthukutty.

A place surrounded by Mother Nature which is simple yet cozy with fully functional kitchen , very friendly staffs and host. In simple a home away from home . Would like to come again ..

We had a wonderful time at this place and will recommend to anyone who enjoys calm and peaceful environment. Special thanks to muthukutty for taking care of us and delicious food he prepared during our stay. Rooms were air-conditioned but most of the time we were spending outside the house. Property is protected with solar fencing at night. Place had all the basic amenities and nearest shop is ~3km incase if you want to buy anything. We were able to see Peacocks, Deer and Bear inside the property. On the whole a memorable trip for us.
