Historic (built in 1880s), picturesque house on beautiful property with ocean views. Within walking distance of the town of Mendocino, its interesting shops and restaurants, and short hikes along the town's ocean bluffs. Longer ocean and coastal range hikes are just a short distance by car. The house was well appointed with plenty of space for 5 adults and one dog. Mendocino Preferred responded quickly to our few questions. Highly recommended!

Mendocino Preferred was extremely professional and easy to work with, and we were happy with the property. It was cozy, clean and perfect for four women on a girls weekend. Only two comments: It was very pricey for a property with a road between the house and the ocean. I thought it was right on the water, from the photos. Secondly, the coffee pot had no carafe and it was a huge pain to brew coffee. Someone had to stand at the pot and individually fill cups. Please invest in a new coffee pot with carafe! Other than that, it was a delightful place. Thank you!

We loved this historic house and thought it was better than its photos. There are a number of interesting artifacts and old books inside. The house is well set back from busy Lansing Street with its own parking spot. The upstairs (up a narrow and steep staircase) are comfortable and nicely appointed. Two of the bedrooms have nice views of the ocean. Downtown is not walkable due to no real walking path on Lansing Street. There is no dishwasher of course so one must rely on other tenants washing, which was not good. We ended up washing all utensils, dishes and glasses before use. There is coffee machine with a missing carafe which does not work well. Either bring your own instant coffee or check with the managers on whether they have replaced it. Internet is very slow and spotty which is to be expected at most places in the area.
