Hortense's place is in a very useful location across from Gare de Lyon. Transport was very easy from here. The accommodation was exactly as shown in the photos. Yes, there were a lot of belongings and knick knacks, but as Hortense had pointed out in her responding comments, this is her primary residence, and the place is exactly as shown in photos and is very clean. The architecture of the apartment is beautiful and access to a lift for getting our luggage to the second floor was extremely useful. We very much enjoyed our stay at Hortense's place.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment has a very Parisian charm. It was very clean and Hortense was a great host. She always responded very promptly if we messaged her with a question. The location is conveniently located across from Gare de Lyon and also walkable to many locations such as the Bastille area, Notre Dame, the Latin quarter, etc. Would recommend this Airbnb.

Très agréable séjour. L’appartement est très beau, très calme et spacieux. Les matelas et lits sont très confortables et nous avons apprécié le lit et chaise haute pour bébé. Je recommande fortement.

Prior to our stay, there was an excessive amount of communication from the owner's management team. Paragraphs of explanations. Immediately after check in, asking me to rate the cleanliness and constantly asking for feedback. It was annoying. Check in was difficult. The lock box is very hard to locate. Once inside, it was extremely cluttered. There were handwritten signs of drawers/doors/boxes we were not allowed to touch/open. Towels were draped over baskets and signs placed over asking us not to touch them. It left us feeling very unsettled, like we were trespassing or might accidentally do something wrong. My daughter had a nosebleed one morning. It got onto the bedsheet. There was no laundry detergent to use with the washing machine (which was a listed amenity) and no extra sheets on premises to change her bed. The management team tried to get me to pay to have someone come bring sheets or pay for an entire clean. Wouldn't stay again, we expected nicer for the price.

The location is amazing. Across the street from the metro and train. Lots of restaurants and cafes and stuff within walking distance. Nice clean and safe building. The only issue we had which I wouldn’t even call an issue is that the place was full of clutter. I mean ever nook had something in it. Also this is not an airbnb property. This is someone’s house that they live in with personal items everywhere in the kitchen and the bathroom - that was unique for us. One thing I would recommend is include 2 sets of keys so when i am separated from my wife, we can both get in the apartment. For example I had to go buy stuff and she went with the kids to eat and when I came back I couldn’t get in and had to wait for them because we only have one set of keys. There is a security camera in the living room which I didn’t like. I covered it with a towel. I was told it’s not live and only turns on when the alarm is triggered but I still covered it. Host is very responsive
