Amazing is still an understatement when attempting to describe this phenomenal Barnhouse and our stay. Eric and Marcy went out of their way to ensure their place was immaculate and beautiful. Not only that, but they were also so generous and communicative with us through the entire process of coordinating our trip. We have made many trips to the Leelanau Peninsula, and it has become a special place for us. We were looking to have it as the location of our out-of-town wedding with a small gathering of family and friends in order to expose them to the beauty and peacefulness that the Glen Arbor area has to offer. When looking for locations, we fell in love with the Barnhouse and it's location on the Crystal River. Eric and Marcy went out of their way to help us coordinate our trip and ensure our stay was perfect for our special occasion. If you think the listing photos look great, just wait until you walk through the front door. 5 stars is not enough. We will be back soon Brad + Cori

Our family loved our stay. Beautiful surroundings with river running at the edge of the property. Our little ones loved exploring the woods, were able to walk the distance to and from Lake Michigan, and the river was toddler friendly as it was very shallow. Being here in fall we also got to see the salmon run up the river. Home and furnishings were as advertised with plenty of space and the house itself was very cozy. Easy access to National park and only a quick trip into town for anything you could need.

Great and enjoyable stay. The pictures of the house and riverfront setting were what drew us in but the location is what would bring us back. Wonderful location close to town, short walk to beach, easy jumping off spot for all there is to do in the area. House was very clean, well equipped — we loved the large and private outdoor space. Great host. Only drawback for us was that the interior of the home is somewhat of an echo chamber - hard to find a place where even small chatter can’t be heard. Overall wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

We had a great time! Our kids loved the house. Location was great. The house was beautifully designed and clean and stocked with kitchen items that made our stay easier with toddlers.
