Another great stay at Mauricio’s! Highlights are the 3 walkable and fun surf spots, renting boards from Bernardo at La Fortuna Surf Shop next door, being right on the sand, the awesome open-air kitchen for cooking while watching whales and waves, being next door to Zai sushi and the little market, and the relaxed and quiet feel of the property. Very important to note that Saturdays and Sundays are a different vibe, where the property opens up to the public and turns into a restaurant, bar, DJ, volleyball games, etc. Super fun twist if that’s what you’re looking for, but very different from the quiet weekdays. Overall, it is excellent for the DIY traveler!! Will be back a third (and fourth and fifth…) time.

We loved it here! You honestly cannot find a closer room to the beach. Mauricio and his staff were beyond friendly and this place had so much to offer. Great Tacos when the restaurant is open too! We will be back!
